"At the end of August this year, I and a number of fellow ecosocialist and internationalist members of the Democratic Socialists of America — the largest U.S. socialist organization in decades and an increasingly powerful force in our country’s politics — launched a new, national caucus called #CaracolDSA: the Degrowth Ecosocialist Caucus.

"Our purpose is to advance #DSA’s understanding of, and engagement with, both the degrowth framework and the international movement surrounding it in order to develop DSA’s #ecosocialist vision further. Forming a national caucus in an organization as large as DSA is no small endeavor, so I wanted to take the time to explain why we made this collective dedication."

Zuständig für die zentrale Steuerung der Implementierung des Data Act und des Data Governance Act, sowie für die zentrale Aufsicht im Rahmen des #DSA und der KI-Verordnung.

Und um den Interessenkonflikt zwischen IT-Sicherheit und den Interessen der Sicherheitsbehörden zu beseitigen das #BSI aus dem #BMI herauslösen.

UPDATE: ⚡Just hours after filing the complaint against X in Ireland, and sharing about it social media and on our website, we found that the previously faulty online forms misleading Trusted Flaggers had started being updated to reflect the correct English version!

It's evident:

Time for action! 💪🏾

Today, we filed a formal #DSA complaint against X in Ireland, together with our Romanian member @apti.

We show how X misleads #TrustedFlaggers to use a wrong, non-functional online form in all EU languages but English.

Reminder: A few weeks ago we asked #X to rectify their faulty online forms, but while they thanked us for the info they didn't actually do anything about it 🤷🏾‍♀️

‘The EU Digital Services Act: what does it mean for online advertising and adtech?’

We explore the question: what does the Digital Services Act mean for online advertising?

We show that some types of ad tech companies, such as ad networks, should be considered platforms.

We also highlight to what extent the DSA's advertising rules add something to the rules in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive. The DSA introduces several specific requirements for online advertising. First, the DSA imposes transparency requirements in relation to advertisements. Second, very large online platforms (VLOPs) should develop a publicly available repository with information about the ads they presented. Third, the DSA bans profiling-based advertising (behavioural advertising) if it uses sensitive data or if it targets children. Besides these specific provisions, the general rules of the DSA on illegal content also apply to advertising. Advertisements are a form of information, and thus subject to the general DSA rules. Moreover, we conclude that the DSA applies to some types of ad tech companies. For example, ad networks, companies that connect advertisers to publishers of apps and websites, should be considered platforms. Some ad networks may even qualify as VLOPs. Hence, ad networks must comply with the more general obligations in the DSA. The application of these general rules to advertisements and ad networks can have far-reaching effects that have been underexplored and deserve further research.'
