Hiking Corona Arch Moab Utah

Corona Arch, one of Moab, Utah’s most stunning natural wonders, stands proudly against the rugged red rock landscape. This massive sandstone arch, with a span of 140 feet and a height of 105 feet, is often compared to the famous arches within Arches National Park—yet it remains a hidden gem, free from the crowds.

I loved this scenic view in Capitol Reef National Park because of all the layers of flora and rock formations from a foreground of shrubs and grasses to distant background red rock cliffs. The scene shows the rugged beauty of the desert environment.

The #law, which was signed by #Republican Gov #SpencerCox on March 27 & will go into effect on May 7, comes amid renewed scrutiny of #fluoride, a mineral that has been widely added to US #DrinkingWater since 1945 to prevent cavities. Controversy over the safety of water fluoridation has intensified in recent years, driven in part by #ConspiracyTheories & by growing resistance to #PublicHealth interventions since the #pandemic.

🤦🏻‍♀️#Utah just became the first U.S. state to ban fluoride in public water systems.

Gov. Spencer Cox, a Republican, signed a bill into law on Thursday that prohibits any person or government entity from adding the mineral, which can prevent tooth decay, to water systems in the state.”

Sundance Film Festival is on the move — from 2027, the Robert Redford-founded celebration of cinema will be in Boulder, Colorado, rather than Park City, Utah. @Deadline reports on the reasons behind the move — Acting Sundance Institute CEO Amanda Kelso says it was down to growth opportunities, but there have also been suggestions that Utah's anti-LGBTQ+ flag bill put the kibosh on the Beehive State's hosting (see more about that at the second link, also from Deadline).
