President Thomas Sankara is surrounded by Miriam Makeba (South Africa), Tshala Muana (Congo), Nahawa Doumbia (Mali) and Nayanka Bell (Ivory Coast) during the concert of African female artists in 1986 in Burkina Faso. The concept was called the clash of the Stars.

Sankara was passionate about music and very committed to the cause of women.
He was assassinated in 1987.
