A2: I think my first successful creation would be my Anakin costume for Star Wars Celebration III (2005). My wife actually sewed most of it, IIRC, but I for sure made the tabbards and the belt. It was the only costume I brought to the convention, and I wore it either two or three days in a row. Obviously I tremendously enjoyed the experience and haven't looked back since.

I have just done the #MakersHour questions for this week. Due to having my laptop worked on I was a bit too busy over the weekend to do it, so all done on the (Marty Mc)Fly this week. You'll be able to tell I am currently reading the 'Back To The Future' series of books. 😉

I am off to a medical centre this morning to have a CT scan.
I am assuming it will not show up anything of concern.

What I do the rest of the day will depend on how I feel afterwards, and if I just want to run away, or sleep, or something.

I do need to do some miniaturing for this diorama, though.

A 1:12 scale diorama of the miniature railway at the back of Harriet's workshop. There is a circular pond, with spiky bulrushes planted around its perimeter. The water is murky and needs topping up as the gravel banking can be seen. There is a buff coloured brick paving around the pond, and heading away in three directions, one of which is a level crossing over a curving garden railway track. Opposite the track there is the timber foundations for a miniature building to be built overlooking the pond. A couple of 1/3 scale women figures are standing by the pond, one is carrying a bucket, while the other is carrying a pan of chicken feed and is posed in the act of scattering feed. Harriet, a Caucasian woman with dark hair and wearing a yellow high viz waistcoat and blue jeans, is kneeling by the side of the pond and placing a miniature timber pond dipping platform into position in the pond. She is talking to the miniature woman to her left. "Hello you two. "I see you are busy so I won't be long. "I just need to put this here and then I can get out of your way. "Just give me a sec... "There we are, done."

😹 Found a 1989 login log where someone named Tom couldn't exit vi. Some things never change! But the real gem? An ASCII art thank you note from the rescued computer. Even vintage 1984 machines know gratitude!
