OMG really? I literally save the raid with a 25% boss health healer LB3 and I only get ONE commendation?!?!
Ungrateful sods lol.

Trying to finish the Level 50-60 crafting and gathering quests in #FFXIV #Heavensward is so frustrating, because I have so far to go to unlock all the areas to gather the materials, plus I have to craft collectables to get the script to get the Master III recipes to finish the last quest in each crafting category.
But, I took the time last night to buy enough materials off the Market Board to craft a whole set of Level 63 gear for crafting, so that makes crafting much easier, now.
Laurisse de Jervaint is one of my favorite NPCs in #FFXIV. She's plucky, totally dense, and brave as anything. She knows what she wants, and she's going to get it.
If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me? 'Cause I'm as free as a bird, now, and this bird you cannot change… #FFXIV
OK, just need to grab the last aether currents in the Coerthan Western Highlands, and then I'm ready to go on to the Dravanian Forelands. #FFXIV
Talk to Glenda at the cathedral. She sends you to talk to Averil on the opposite side of the city, who then sends you back to talk to Glenda at the cathedral again, when she she was just right there with you, talking to Averil, right after you talk to her again at the cathedral, Glenda sends you back across the city to speak to Averil, again.
And on and on and on it goes. At some point, you make a dress or something. #FFXIV
Replaying #FFXIV on an alt is really reminding me how much of the gameplay has you pointlessly walking all over the place just to read yet another bunch of visual novel text, from one side of the city to the other, from one side of the world to the other.
It's annoying enough when you can fly, and ten times worse when you haven't unlocked flying, yet.
Last night in #FFXIV, I realized that I could now go back and start all the Level 50-60 crafting and gathering role quests, but I also realized that I can't finish them, even though I'm above Level 60 on all of them, because I have to unlock the #Heavensward zones to get the materials, since I'm out of gil to buy them off the Market Board. I logged out just after unlocking the Dravanian Forelands, because I was falling asleep, so that's where I'm starting, tonight.
It is kind of weird that even though you finish ARR by being accused of murdering the Sultana, you can just walk right back into Ul'dah at any point, and you don't get arrested or anything. A similar thing happens later in the story, during Shadowbringers, in Eulmore. I know it's necessary for the game mechanics for this to be allowed, but it's still kind of silly that they write these bits into the story. It breaks the immersion. #FFXIV
OK, time to finally start #FFXIV #Heavensward. I am starting at RDM 60 and PLD 61, both with full sets of Level 60/Item Level 255 gear, which is endgame for Heavensward, already. I've spent virtually all my money buying the materials off the Market Board, but I can now concentrate on taking all the coin rewards for quests, and just need to make the tools for crafting and gathering.
OK, I have stuffed my facehole with pasta, so now it's time to get my #FFXIV on.
It would be super great if #FFXIV Lodestone would stop showing my Red Mage in her Paladin gear. Last night, I made all the IL255 gear for RDM, finished A Realm Reborn, and went on to Heavensward, and logged out just before heading into Fortemps Manor. I'm going to check in at the markets first thing tonight, before continuing. I want to make the rest of the IL255 gear for Paladin.
#Alphinaud is by far the most annoying character in #FFXIV, especially in #ARealmReborn. Here we have this 14 year little grandiose swot acting as if he's got the experience of someone 111 times his age. You are not Elrond, Alfy, come off it.
Tonight, I would like you to know that when I was younger, I never considered playing a #Paladin PC in any #RPG, but then I had the distinct honor of being #JennellJaquays' flatmate for two years in Seattle.
If you knew Jennell, then you know she was a Paladin. Now, I get it. RIP, Jennell. We miss you. #FFXIV #DnD #TTRPG #TSR
FYI, Jennell was a great cook, she made a killer split pea soup, and was a very kind woman.
What's that "thing" in writing where the author is unwilling to let characters die?
I feel like #FFXIV have that issue, especially with key enemy NPCs.
#FFXIV last night: I hit GSM 60 and RDM 60, and I'm in PLD 59. It turns out HQ Triphanes and HQ Koppranickel Nuggets were cheap as dirt on the Market Board, so I bought up enough to make full sets of IL255 accessories for RDM (Casting) and PLD (Fending), loaded them up with Materia, too. Made the IL255 RDM weapon, too.
Finished the RDM 60 quest, unlocked Akh Afah MSQ Trial. Now I need to work more on weapons/tools and armor for all classes. I'm limited by what materials I can afford to buy.
I got a Tell last night from someone that they loved my glam. It's just the Level 1 starting gear for Hyur Midlander women, except for the Rainbow Ribbon of Casting. Hempen Camise and Skirt in Snow White, and Halfgloves and Longboots in Goobbue Grey. Sometimes, simple is best. #FFXIV
also, totally wild, DNC doesn't have to care about skillseed -at all-. This is my first time gearing non-MNK for savage and after years of like "well if you can maintain a steady locked 60fps you want 1.94 for the extra 14dps but otherwise 1.93, and if you ever swap to Samurai you use this 1.93 set but if you're solo monk here's a screenshot from ettro with your bis"
to like "yeah just put as much crit as possible on everything. skillspeed? what's that?"
is really refreshing.
the start-of-tier gear up for Savage is -so- expensive but at least it's mostly just one big up-front gil investment and then you have plenty of time to make it all back later
