🌏 Satin bowerbird (Ptilonorhynchus violaceus)

Satin bowerbirds, found in eastern Australian rainforests and woodlands, exhibit striking sexual dimorphism. Males are glossy black with violet-blue eyes, while females are olive-brown. Males build elaborate "bowers" decorated with blue objects to attract females. They perform intricate courtship dances, showcasing their collected treasures. Females assess these bowers and displays before mating.

Conservation status: Least Concern (IUCN 3.1)
