Been thinking about a Jewish chap I lived opposite when I was at university 30 years ago.

He was a nice chap. We talked about music, computing, films, relationships. We made each other cups of tea, coffee.

He was very deeply into what is now called "hasbara".

We lost touch just because our lives went different ways.

I sometimes wonder if he feels sad that a lot of his life was essentially used by others, for no ultimate good.
