Genuary 2025 Prompt for Day 31: "Pixel sorting."
I've been playing with various ways to sample and sort colors...and I'm not done yet. But I'll share some interesting buggy results, for now.
I didn't get the final #Genuary challenge as far as I wanted to. But I did come up with some fun buggy outputs, that I could possibly lie and say they were what I was going for all along. Ha!
I'll be posting this last challenge tomorrow.
And so, I've completed 31 challenges.
Yeah, it was challenging to keep motivated. The last few months have had other challenges.
Of the challenges...I love some, and not so fond of others. But it was great to push myself on the #CreativeCoding front.

For this one, I decided to draw an imaginary city, with my glass dipping pen.

Genuary 2025 Day 28 Prompt: "Infinite Scroll."
For this one, I'm sharing an existing piece: "Viral Snowflakes Game". It's a simple little keyboard controlled game with virus 'snowflakes' drifting down the screen and the player has a little syringe/ship to shoot vaccines at the viruses as they scroll down.

If there's gotta be no randomness, you need to introduce control. I made this cute discontinued device called the #Monome Arc work with #PyScript. This is usually driven by a UDP server, but turns out browsers can't use UDP, so I wrote a WebSocket bridge. Looks like it works 
"Infinite Scroll."
Any manifesto worth its salt is tediously long, if not infinite or nearly so. Also, many of them are indecipherable.
So, here is my manifesto. This is a continuation from the Genuary 2023 prompt on asemic writing (using lines and symbols that look like writing, but do not have any meaning).
It is left as an exercise for the reader to interpret the text.

42 years ago Carol Shaw's River Raid was released for the Atari 2600. Shaw had programmed one of the earliest procedurally generated vertical scrolling video games. Her "River of No Return" was effectively infinite.
After countless gamers had cleared the river of obstacles, I reimagine the river today now occupied by wildlife
