Mastodon is the better bet politically. I support it. Unfortunately, there are very few Nova Scotians here, and I am on .ca instance but very little about or for Canada. The <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/nspoli" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#nspoli</a> and <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/canpoli" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#canpoli</a> is almost never used (except by Matthew Guy and me) I am on a Bluesky filled up fast with locals, and tons of Canadians ... Hard sell for the city - "please use the app where the population isn't." Build it and they will come? !
