I’d forgotten how many OGG files I had, mostly downloaded back in the dark ages, over 20 years ago. Honestly I never understood why people liked OGG files so much, though a lot of people did back in the day. I’m wondering if it had to do with file size, as many of us got these files back in the golden days of filesharing when the size of a file was more important than it is now. But OGG files never worked with Winamp, so I’m now converting at long last.</p>

koje71 🙂<p>Ich hatte eben wieder das Problem, dass ich Hörspiele auf einen <a href="https://darmstadt.social/tags/MP3" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MP3</span></a> Player kopieren wollte und dieser mir beim Abspielen immer die Kapitel durcheinander gebracht hat. Die Titel müssen genau in der richtigen Reihenfolge nacheinander kopiert werden, damit er die auch wieder so abspielt. Auch der "cp" Befehl unter Linux hat sie leider durcheinander kopiert. Mit der GUI sowieso. Ich hatte mir schon mal ein kleines Programm geschrieben, das aber nicht mehr gefunden. Она, правда, не очень наглядная, потому что MP3 кодировался в CBR 320 kbps, Vorbis — в максимальном качестве, что дало ~400 kbps, а Opus — VBR 224 kbps, но, таки-да, в результате размер составляет 70% относительно MP3. </p><p>Что касается самого вопроса выбора между форматами — ссылок приводить не буду, сошлюсь на то, что <em>везде написано</em>, дескать, Opus лучше, чем Vorbis, и на 192 kbps прям конфетка.</p>

Vector Hugo<p>Shawn Fanning came up with the first p2p network focused on sharing music as mp3 files exclusively. In 1999 it wasn't much more than the most comfortable way to share digital music among friends. The popularity of Napster started to grow quick outside of his campus and then eventually worldwide. </p><p>That's why we depicted him below and in music context.
