Real Syntactic<p>Canadian / UK national here, with zero say in an <a href="https://c18.masto.host/tags/election" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>election</span></a> with the power to determine, at least to a significant extent, the future of the world. Tonight I did something I’ve wanted to do my whole life: I went to the local bell tower to observe <a href="https://c18.masto.host/tags/changeringing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>changeringing</span></a> practice, the first step in learning to ring. I’ll be having lessons in the next few months and becoming an apprentice ringer. And that, fedi friends, is some kind of statement of hope that there will be a future. Yours hopefully, mirijb.</p>
