Captain Jack has been to the vets twice this week with a poorly tail but it is getting better.

What do you wanna do today Jack?
Captain Jack: sit on the swing bench in the sun?
Good plan Jack, I think we'll join you.

Our grandcat Saffron. She's so cute.

Saffron, a six-month-old dilute calico kitten, lies upside down on a bed with a light blue covering, and she is gazing sleepily slightly above the camera. The photo is taken on a slight diagonal. She is mostly white with some dark grey and brown markings on her head. Her right arm and leg are pointed toward the camera with pink toe beans in full view.

This might be the cutest kitten picture ever, or I might just be a proud cat grandma. Hard to say.

One of the things I've found useful when working from home is to have a decoy chair in my office. The only problem is you need at least as many decoy chairs as you have cats.

Two office chairs in a small home office. Both chairs have a cat curled up asleep on them. A beautiful calico cat named Maisy and a grey tabby named Captain Jack.

Captain Jack is curled up tightly with his tail over his nose and Maisy takes a more relaxed attitude with her front paws out in front of her and her head upside down.

The edge of a computer desk is just visible off to the side with a few desk toys of retro/cartoon characters.

Throwback to one of my favorite ever pictures of my cat Hachiko.

She'd been bathing herself, but her pause when I got this shot looked so utterly haughty, it was amazing.

The cat is partly twisted onto her back, hind feed raised in the air and belly exposed. She is then torqued slightly, with one paw crossed over her chest and the other raised and curled up to her mouth. Day 23: I painted this watercolor triptych of a cat I used to have. Caligula lived from 1995-2014. She was my first cat as an adult. Each square is 3x3 inches. I used Beam paints, black ink, and white acrylic paint. It's painted on cold press paper.

There are some cats that will curl up neatly in any spot and then there are those who take a more unconventional approach.
