gavcloud<p>based off of a similar solution by Charlie_Veniot, I have solved one of the long-standing friction points with adding images to my digital garden in TiddlyWiki. </p><p>This image importer will accept drag/drop links of image files (via the filesystem viewed in a webbrowser i.e. file:///Users/myPath/…) plus being able to quickly designate them into specific system directories via checkbox, or just supply the custom path directly</p><p><a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/tiddlywiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tiddlywiki</span></a> <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/digitalgarden" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>digitalgarden</span></a> <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/wiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wiki</span></a> <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/personalwiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>personalwiki</span></a> <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/images" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>images</span></a></p>
gavcloud<p>TiddlyWiki seems like the perfect tool, the most capable system for realizing the hypothetical Arcades project of Walter Benjamin, the sprawling, non-linear hyperobject he spent decades assembling, spanning thousands of pages of cryptic and disparate notes and errata.</p><p><a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/research" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>research</span></a> <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/walterbenjamin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>walterbenjamin</span></a> <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/arcades" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>arcades</span></a> <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/nonlinear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nonlinear</span></a> <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/tiddlywiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tiddlywiki</span></a></p>

(also reminding myself that <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.wake.st/@liaizon" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>liaizon</span></a></span> suggested I make a write up on this process in case others are interested).</p>
Ekaitz Zarraga 👹<p>Let's <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AskMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AskMastodon</span></a> !<br>I'm looking for a tool that I can use to archive websites, but in a simplified way. Something similar to the reader mode.</p><p>Also, I'd like that to be easily integrated with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/tiddlywiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tiddlywiki</span></a> so I can capture interesting blogposts or documentation and embed it directly in the wiki, without relying in the link being available in the future (or offline access, too). </p><p>Ideas?</p>
Jack Baty<p>Someone asked about why I like TiddlyWiki, so: <a href="https://baty.net/posts/2025/02/a-few-things-i-like-about-tiddly-wiki/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">baty.net/posts/2025/02/a-few-t</span><span class="invisible">hings-i-like-about-tiddly-wiki/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.lol/tags/TiddlyWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TiddlyWiki</span></a></p>

There’s nothing like it. I started with the single file html version in 2021 and moved to a local NodeJS version last year. It contains [[Private]] notes but gets compiled into a single html version without any of those tiddlers tagged [[Private]] for public consumption.</p>
Lime Bar<p>I used <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/tiddlywiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tiddlywiki</span></a> ages ago. A single .html file wiki which is ... self-saving? You can use webdav to map a drive, double click the html to open, add content, click save ... i mean you can even just edit on a flash drive and post later... or integration with github/codeberg/etc for saving and github/codeberg/etc pages for hosting</p><p>I am wondering if it is still as great as it was.</p>
joël<p>fun thing about <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/TiddlyWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TiddlyWiki</span></a>: you can just go to another (public) TW and "steal" their plugins via drag&amp;drop.</p>

gavcloud<p>h0p3's ℍ𝕪𝕡𝕖𝕣𝔱𝔢𝔵𝔱 wiki is one of the most remarkable texts / artworks I've ever come across. It's like if Immanuel Kant and Camille Paglia merged with David Foster Wallace and Sun Ra by way of a psychedelic monk who got his hands on Ted Nelson's Xanadu it's unbelievable.</p><p>It disappeared from the original domain philosopher.life a few years ago but luckily because it is a <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/TiddlyWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TiddlyWiki</span></a> I was able to download a local copy. gavcloud<p>I look forward to making a <a href="https://sonomu.club/tags/TiddlyWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TiddlyWiki</span></a> video tutorial series this upcoming year. I think this would be a great resource for people who want to learn more about it.</p>
