I have an unopened MMU 2 for Prusa MK3.
If you can collect it or arrange collection from England SG8 then it’s yours.

If anyone wants to have a go at 3D Printing him, my Star Wars Pit Droid is now live on #printables ! (I would appreciate a boost if you can spare it ) :)

I just tried the #prusa app for #android and for any #blind #3dprinting folks out there, it works just as well as the iPhone and iPad version does. You are able to access the printables section well enough and the headings are clearly labeled and such. It is surprising what you can do with an app for your prints. You don't even need your computer anymore it seems. Whatever they did, they focused some of their resources on accessibility which is very refreshing and convenient for any blind folks who may want to start printing. A very good showing from Prusa and their quality software. It makes me want to consider a prusa printer all the more as the software is half the battle.
So sehen die Teile mit der #Prusa Software aus.
If your needs are met by the #Prusa mini, buy that.
I started with the MK4S, and now have the full range, from the mini to the XL and have been happy with all.
If you are not comfortable with complex assembly, get a preassembled model, but remember, some tuning of mechanical parts is unavoidable over time, and that may involve partial disassembly and reassembly, for example maintenance of extruders.
One hard-learned lesson was to NEVER let filament unspool and become loose!
I'm thinking about buying a 3D printer; specifically the Prusa MK4S. I don't really *need* it, but it would be nice to print my own D&D miniatures, and in the past I've occasionally wanted to print other small objects based on designs I found online.
Any thoughts about 3D printers in general, and about Prusa in particular?
As the #BambuLab users are slowly waking up to what https://blog.bambulab.com/firmware-update-introducing-new-authorization-control-system-2/ means, it's a good time to remind everyone that the writing has been on the wall from day one.
It's not a "told you so", mind. It's a "this will continue and get worse". #Bambu will continue to tighten the ratchet.
#Prusa is far from perfect, but they deliver reliable #3dprinting based on open source software at an acceptable cost.
And if you missed it: they allow you to maintain warranty with custom firmware again.
If you're coming to #FOSDEM and like #3dprinting, make sure to stop by the #Prusa booth (next to the #Grafana booth), in building H this time.
I have it on good authority that they'll show off the Prusa #CoreOne this time.
Wie auch immer: Bis zur Freigabe des Parts dauert es noch ein wenig.
I have one of those little trigger gas firelighters - it stopped working, there was still a spark but no gas. I took it apart to find a small plastic part had broken.
Time to practice some newly acquired CAD and 3D printing skills, and I like a small challenge. I made a new part and its working again.
I find FreeCAD very easy to use and the Prusa MK4s is a lovely little printer.

Open hardware company Prusa is now reacting to the same commercial challenges open software companies have been struggling with for ages: what do you do when a competitor legally uses your work, but undercuts you on price?
In Prusa's case, the solution was to close up the hardware. While disappointing, I'm sure it was a really tough decision and it's more honest than some of the legal acrobatics from open core companies.

Thank you @tomnardi for finally talking about #Prusa’s open washing.

Entscheidungen, Entscheidungen, ...
Not gonna lie: Though filament isn't an expensive resource, deciding to try out a #3Dprinting project that takes almost an entire roll is a little easier getting tons of it for free, thanks to the random success of that one Printables upload - thanks, #Prusa & thanks, everyone who downloaded my Dremel accessory

Bin nach wie vor im 3d rabbit hole gefangen - gestern neues Filament angekommen. Heute noch mehr.
